GETTING TO VIRGIN GORDA

Getting Easier December 2021

The Cape Air team is delighted to be returning to Virgin Gorda Airport effective December 17, 2021, with 3 daily round trips to/from San Juan Intl Airport, in partnership with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, and United Airlines.

UNTIL THEN

Our guests coming from the USA, Canada, Europe, or South America to the main airport, the Terrence B. Lettsome Airport (EIS) must connect through Puerto Rico (SJU), St. Thomas (STT), Antigua (ANU), or St. Maarten (SXM). The most direct way to arrive to the BVI from North America is via San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). Check out the list of airlines flying between the USVI and the BVI.
When traveling to the BVI, there are no direct flights from the USA, Canada, Europe, or South America to the British Virgin Islands' main airport, the Terrence B. Lettsome Airport (EIS).
The BVI’s additional major airports are Taddy Bay Airport, Virgin Gorda (VIJ) and Auguste George Airport, Anegada (NGD).

*All flights connect through other Caribbean airports like Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Antigua, or St. Maarten.
*Taxes / Departure Tax: There's a new $10/pp environmental tax that started a few days before the storm. If you're coming by ferry that's the only new one. There's a couple extra $ for cruising permits for ferries and private boats.

The airport departure tax is $50 pp in Beef Island and $35 pp in Virgin Gorda – payable in USD at the airport. Environmental Levy: $10 per person payable in USD at the port of entry upon arrival.
Taddy Bay International Airport (IATA: VIJ, ICAO: TUPW) is the airport on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.
